Artist Bio
Artist BioLinda Sheffield grew up in the heart of New York City, attending both Music & Art High School and New York University. From an early age, she found herself fascinated by the mixture of cultures around her. Today, as an artist, she is deeply driven by both the juxtaposition of oil colors on canvas, and sculpture in clay, in order to achieve a similar end: the portrayal of the human condition within the world cultures around us. Deeply inspired by her generations of Northern/Southern Italian heritage, Linda enjoys capturing the subtlest thoughts of her beloved Italian culture. Most recent is her series of work in oil entitled “Vivere, Ridere, Amore;” a colorful depiction of daily life in Italy. Completing her BFA at Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a Presidential Scholarship, Linda has shown her work at the Academy’s Spring Show and Art Center Manatee.
